Emily Stevens
Hello! I am the founder and head teacher of The Orchard School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Southern Mississippi. I have a teaching license for grades PreK-5, with a gifted endorsement for grades K-12. I taught for a total of 9 years in both a charter and public school setting before deciding to open The Orchard.

In addition to a varied teaching career, I'm also a mother to two boys. After having my own children and seeing how they interact with the world and learn, I realized that's how early childhood education should be. They are the driving force behind my play centered, developmentally appropriate approach to education.
Lisa Mader
Lisa is my mother. She is my part time assistant at The Orchard. Her main role is help with my youngest but she is also here to act as a second pair of eyes and ears. She is a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 4 and has over 35 years of experience with children.
Dacie Sinift
Miss Dacie and Miss Emily first met in 6th grade. They were friends all through high school and reconnected when Miss Dacie enrolled her youngest child at The Orchard. She started with The Orchard as a valued volunteer and quickly became Miss Emily's assistant.
After working alongside Miss Emily for 2 years, she started training to take over the preschool program. She is obtaining her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and has 13 years of experience with children
