Upper Grades
"Daily movement lays the groundwork for higher level mental and physical skills. Ideally, kids of all ages should get at least three hours of free play outdoors a day." Angela Hanscom
Program Overview

Our upper grades program is comprised of multi age groups, currently serving ages 5-8. When we designed this program, we kept in mind the basic principal that all children deserve opportunities to play and explore the world around them. Students will be invited to participate in several learning stations throughout our spacious upper grades classroom, while meeting with the teacher for individualized instruction. Tuesdays and Thursdays are our planned outing days. Some examples of possible outings include hiking, exploring local fauna, flora and aquatic life, participating in programs with the state parks, volunteer work/ community outreach, and trips to community agencies (fire station, police station, local government). We will also make regular trips to the local library.
We also recognize that students learn best when their needs are met and have designed our day with that in mind. Students have the freedom to eat when they are hungry, choose what they want to learn about, and take breaks as needed. Our daily schedule allows for a minimum of 1 hour outside to allow for plenty of movement. Ultimately, our goal is to help your child reach their full potential and develop into healthy, happy, well rounded individuals.

At this time, lunch is not provided. Students will need to pack lunch daily. They are welcome to bring snacks as well. We will have a snack station with fresh produce, a weekly snack, and fresh, cold drinking water.
Part Time Program
The part schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: 9:00AM-3:00PM

This program is designed with current homeschoolers in mind or those that are interested in homeschooling but would like more guidance. In this program, students will receive all of their math and English language arts instruction but may need supplemental science and social studies instruction at home. Art and music are integrated into our daily activities. Tuesdays and Thursdays are our planned outing days, which is why those are longer days. We will not have an outing every Tuesday and Thursday. Tuition for the part time program is $200 a month with a $50 enrollment fee.
Full Time Program
The full time program schedule is as follows:
Tuesday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM
Our full time program more closely mimics a standard school week. We are not in session on Mondays, but it is available as an enrichment day for an additional cost ($20/day). Students in the full time program will receive a complete education consisting of a English language arts, math, science, and social studies, with art and music integrated throughout the day. We will also have at least an hour of unrestricted outdoor time each day. Tuition for the full time program is $325 a month with a $50 enrollment fee.
